The Kate Hill concierge
A birthday, an anniversary, the days every year that are hard for others, as well as the days that are happy. Leave them with us and we’ll reach out with a gentle note letting you know what’s freshest and most beautiful at the time.
Kate Hill Flowers is a Melbourne florist in Southbank, and Kate and her team have designed flowers in Melbourne since 2007. Everything that leaves the studio is made for one person and one address, and it is made to be remembered. That is the standard the whole studio works to, from the first stem chosen at market to the knock on the recipient's door.
Our buyers choose what is worth having that week, so every arrangement is designed from what is actually good, in season and at its best. What you see in the photograph is what we deliver, and we guarantee it. Choose a hand-tied bouquet for a classic gesture, a vase design that is ready to sit straight on the table, or something designed to order when the brief is bigger than a bouquet. Call into the studio and there is always a shelf of made up bouquets ready to carry out; every delivery order is designed fresh for the person receiving it.
Order by 1pm, Monday to Saturday, and your flowers are designed and delivered the same day, anywhere in our Melbourne delivery area. Need them sooner? Express delivery reaches most of inner Melbourne within three hours of your order, with the window starting from 9am. Every delivery travels by courier with care, tracked from our door to theirs, and we do not deliver on Sundays or public holidays. The detail, including delivery days, cut off times and what reaches your address and when, is set out in the Melbourne flower delivery guide.
The studio sits at 440 City Road, Southbank, minutes from the CBD, and flower delivery runs from here across more than 500 Melbourne suburbs every working day. From Southbank and South Melbourne out to the bayside, through the inner east and across to the west, if the address is in Greater Melbourne, we deliver to it. Ring the studio and a real florist answers, helps you choose, and makes sure the flowers suit the person and the day. That is the difference between ordering from a Melbourne florist and ordering from a warehouse.
Most of what we send marks an occasion: a birthday across town, an anniversary that must not slip, a new baby, a thank you that needs to be more than words. Whatever the reason, the promise is the same. Fresh seasonal flowers, designed in Southbank, delivered across Melbourne on the day you choose. If you are not sure what to send, start with the occasion, or call us and describe the person. We will take it from there.
We photograph what we sell and we deliver what we photograph. If the flowers that arrive are not something to be proud of, tell us and we will make it right, without an argument and without a form to fill in. Reviews of our work live on Google under our name, where they cannot be curated, and the score there is the one we answer to. That is also why a florist reads every reply and answers every call: the fastest way to keep a standard is to hear about it directly when something misses.
Planning a wedding or an event? That is its own craft and its own conversation, and it starts on our Melbourne wedding flowers page. For businesses, from a weekly arrangement for front of house to flowers for a client you want to look after properly, call the studio and ask for the corporate team.

Kate Hill has designed flowers in Melbourne since 2007, and the studio still runs the way it started: one team, one standard, every order overseen by a florist before it leaves. Editors keep coming back because the work photographs the way it arrives, and the reviews are consistent with the high standard we have proudly delivered on for nearly 20 years.

Concrete Playground
Flower delivery from our Southbank studio to more than 500 suburbs, six days a week.
Near the studio, you have a local florist. Further out, you have a Melbourne florist who delivers like one. Either way the flowers are designed in Southbank and your flower delivery leaves by courier the same day when you order by 1pm. These are some of the suburbs we serve every week, each with its own page and its own flower delivery detail.
The inner south is home ground. Southbank, South Melbourne, Port Melbourne, Albert Park and Middle Park are minutes from the studio door, and flower delivery to these suburbs is often on the road within the hour. South Yarra, Toorak and Armadale sit just beyond, close enough that a morning order is comfortably a lunchtime delivery.
The inner east and bayside are daily flower delivery runs. Richmond, Prahran, Malvern, Camberwell, Hawthorn and Caulfield see our couriers every working day, and Brighton and the bayside follow the same same day timetable. The Melbourne CBD, Docklands and the hospital precincts are covered on every run, with delivery instructions for receptions, wards and concierge desks handled without fuss.
The west and the outer ring are still Melbourne to us. Werribee, the northern suburbs and the outer east all sit inside our Melbourne flower delivery map. The cut off is the same 1pm, and if an address falls outside the standard map, call us. Beyond the metro is usually a conversation, not a no.
Do you offer same day flower delivery in Melbourne?
Yes. Order by 1pm, Monday to Saturday, and we design and deliver your flowers the same day, anywhere in our Melbourne delivery area. We do not deliver on Sundays or public holidays.
Which suburbs do you deliver to?
More than 500 suburbs across Greater Melbourne, from the CBD and Southbank to the bayside, the inner east and the west. The full list is on our Melbourne delivery suburbs page.
How much does delivery cost?
Delivery starts from $19 and is calculated at checkout based on the suburb. Express delivery is roughly double the standard rate for the same address.
How late can I order for delivery today?
1pm for same day delivery. If you have missed the cut off, call the studio on (03) 9510 8800 and we will tell you honestly what is possible. Express orders reach most of inner Melbourne within three hours, with the delivery window starting from 9am.
How long will the flowers last?
Our buyers choose stems for freshness first, and with simple care most arrangements are still looking beautiful well past five days. Every delivery includes care instructions.
How should I care for the flowers?
Fresh water every two days, a clean vase, stems trimmed on an angle, and keep them out of direct sun. The full guide is in our flower care guide.
What happens if nobody is home?
Our couriers follow the instructions you give at checkout. Where it is safe, flowers are left in a sheltered spot at the door and a photo is taken; for apartments, we work with the concierge or building entry. If there is no safe option, we will contact you before anything is left.
Do you deliver to hospitals in Melbourne?
Yes, we deliver to Melbourne hospitals on the standard timetable. Include the ward and the patient's full name at checkout, and check the hospital's own flower policy first, as a small number of wards do not accept fresh flowers.
Can I send sympathy or funeral flowers?
Yes. Sympathy flowers are designed with particular care, and for a service we recommend ordering ahead so we can time the delivery with the funeral director or venue. Start with the sympathy flowers collection, or call the studio and we will guide you through it quietly.
